There are several different flu vaccines on the market this year - They are "Trivalent", "Quadrivalent", and
"High-Dose" vaccine formulations.
For 2017, Uinta County Public Health offers only the "Quadrivalent" formulation which gives added protection against another strain.
The flu formulations that is "Trivalent", covers three strains. The "High-Dose" offers a stronger immune response, and is only approved for those 65 and older.
Be sure to ask which formulation you would be getting at a non-public health clinic.
Prior to getting your shot, ask to ensure your insurance will cover the cost, or if you must pay for your vaccination.
