Tue, Feb 284-H Dog - Dog Jeopardy Come enjoy a fun game of Dog Jeopardy and use the knowledge you've learned at the previous meeetings to win some fabulous prizes. Learn what the state 4-H dog skill-a-thon contest is a how you can become involved. We are excited to share a series of dog project meetings that are geared towards youth learning about their animals. Youth will no bring their animal to these project meetings in February. They will be done in a classroom setting. Parents are welcome to attend.
Thu, Mar 24-H Meats Judging What is Meats Judging? In meats judging, youth learn how to identify a variety of meat cuts from beef, lamb and pork. They learn to place classes based on which product is better than the other. Seniors and intermediates have the opportunity to defend their placings through oral reasons. Juniors do not have to give oral reasons, but answer a set of questions about meat classes.
